Peter Felsenthal

Peter Felsenthal graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. He subsequently received his law degree from the University of Memphis following which he practiced law until joining Whitmor in 1981 in the capacity of corporate counsel. Peter served as President of Whitmor from 2001 to 2009 and currently is the company’s Chief Executive Officer. In addition to his responsibilities at Whitmor, Peter also serves on the Board of Directors for the Southaven Chamber of Commerce and remains active in a number of philanthropic activities in the Memphis and Mid-South region.
Peter enjoys golf and tennis and is an avid fan of both the University of Memphis and Vanderbilt University. He also enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife Judy and his family. His oldest son Scott serves as Vice President at Whitmor (bio below) and his youngest son, Andrew, is the Academy Director at Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Florida.
Sandy Felsenthal

Sandy Felsenthal joined Whitmor full-time in 1996 and currently serves as the company’s President. Sandy is the youngest son of the late Donald Felsenthal and is the brother of Peter and Jimmy. Since 1996, Sandy has traveled to the Orient 50 times creating relationships with factories and developing product for the closet accessory and laundry categories. He is directly responsible for the efforts of the Whitmor sales and creative teams.
Before joining Whitmor, Sandy attended the University of Florida where he studied Political Science and subsequently became a contract photojournalist for the National Geographic Society and a freelancer for a variety of world publications. Today, his time away from Whitmor is consumed by his four children and his wife Judy.
Jimmy Felsenthal

Jimmy Felsenthal, the Chief Information Officer of Whitmor, started to get acquainted with the company at the age of 10 when he spent the summer months at the company’s factory in Earle, AR. He worked in the Shipping Department while attending the University of Tennessee, where he earned his degree in Business Administration. After college, Jimmy took over the costing of Whitmor's products and the installation and implementation of new software to run the company. In 2000, he started to write his own Software which continues to be the operating system for Whitmor. As Whitmor has continued to grow in recent years, Jimmy is in final stages of selecting and implementing new software that will enhance Whitmor’s operational capabilities and provide the platform for the company’s future needs. In his spare time Jimmy likes to go for walks and he enjoys bike riding with his wife Wendy as well as working around the house and watching sports with his stepson Nick.
Scott Felsenthal

After obtaining his law degree in 2009, Scott Felsenthal (son of Peter) became the 4th generation of the Felsenthal family to join Whitmor. A graduate of the University of Memphis and the Nashville School of Law, Scott is currently serving as the company’s Vice President. He was named one of Memphis' Finest Young Professionals by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and VIP Magazine in 2010. Scott’s numerous internships completed during law school, coupled with his legal background and passion for business, will serve Whitmor well moving forward.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys tennis and golf. Scott and his wife, Abby, have one daughter, Mollie.
Dale Cooley

Dale Cooley joined Whitmor in 2001 as the company’s CFO. A West Tennessee native and graduate of the University of Memphis, Dale brings a diverse range of skills to Whitmor’s accounting department. Before joining Whitmor, Dale spent the prior 7 years in manufacturing and he spent 3 years with Federal Express while in college. As part of his CFO duties, Dale currently supervises Whitmor’s accounting staff which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, international import documentation and chargeback compliance. Dale spends a great deal of his spare time fly fishing and playing golf with his wife Valerie.
James Young

James Young, the company’s Vice President of Operations, became an employee of the company shortly after graduation from High School in July of 1963. After a brief break from the company during the summer of 1964, James returned to work for the company and has served 45 years of continuous service.
Under the mentoring of the late owner Don Felsenthal, James had the opportunity to learn all aspects of the operation of the company as he spent time working in most of the production departments within the company. As the domestic manufacturing operations were transitioned to offshore facilities beginning in the early nineties, James worked with the offshore factories to help insure a smooth transition to ensure that the quality products for which Whitmor was known for would continue.
James is a dedicated family man married to his wife Sylvetta for 45 years. He loves to fish whenever he can and cheers for his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.
